"Well foodie.fm it's a personalised store front and social recipe recommendation service. So basically it originates from the recommendation engine we created three years ago. And basically what it means is it learns your taste profile. As you use the service, it starts to learn what kind of dishes you like as well as what kind of food you like."

"Well in Finland we have real time assortment and price information from S-Group which is our partner here from all of their 900 stores. So they can check out price information, what the assortment of the store is, also nutritional values what the product contains. So that's of course one benefit for the consumer, he or she can add items to his or her basket and purchase them online or go to the store and pick up the goods by himself."

"Of course when you do a shopping list in foodie you see what the amount of the basket is all the time so people of course see that as a benefit - but it's not the only benefit. I think that there's still even for us still lots of potential to provide other kinds of advice. Say for instance you have allergies or you're allergic to gluten or your lactose-free diet and it may be difficult to find the right products, and by tailoring the service for your preferences and allergies, that provides value also for consumers to find the right products. And if you want to buy the cheap 'right' products that's possible as well."

"It's kind of like a headbashing feeling when you go into a shop and it's 300 square metres and there's 15-thousand different items and you don't have any clue what to buy. And then you start walking there and the end result is a bit too chaotic for me. I like it this way."

"We use about once per week and we aim to do about 50-70 euros (of purchasing). So it's about especially bringing all the bulk stuff. All the heavy consumables that we need and also children's food and stuff like this."

"It (the app) suggests what you buy but basically I do the selections and actually I think that using foodie I probably try out more different kinds of recipes than I would otherwise. Because otherwise I would be stuck in basically maybe 20, 30, basic recipes but now I sometimes get recommendations about Asian food or something like this and I just take a look at the ingredients and I think, 'yeah that's good' and I try it out."
