Better known as the “tiered” or “traffic light” system, or to Whitehall officials as “the new Nando’s scale.”
The Prime Minister will lay down new rules in a bid to curtail the rising number of coronavirus infections in parts of the country.
Boris Johnson is expected to address MPs this afternoon to update them on the Government's new measures in fighting the surge of coronavirus cases in the country.
He is expected to address the nation in a press conference at 6pm.
