The Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph scans the end of the optic nerve in a series of 40 slices. The computer combines these images to make a 3-dimensional image of the nerve-head. This video was captured by our Heidelberg machine and shows the scan travelling into the cupped end of the optic nerve.
