Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today announced a second round of cash aid for the B40, M40 households.
Called Bantuan Prihatin Nasional 2.0 (BPN 2.0), the handout is part of the Kita Prihatin economic recovery package, aimed at helping Malaysians face the hardships brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and the movement control order phases that had to be implemented due to the virus.
Speaking in a televised address this afternoon, the prime minister said RM7 billion has been allocated for BPN 2.0 which will benefit 10.6 million recipients.----------------------------------
