Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin discussed his move back to Russia as the 27 year-old left wing takes part in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for former club Dynamo Moscow in the wake of the 2012 NHL lockout.
Alexander Ovechkin, Washington Capitals star forward:
"Home is home. I am a disciple, I was raised at Dynamo (hockey club) it was a starting point of my career. It's good to play in front of my relatives and friends. I'm glad that I had a chance to return to Dynamo to repay my debt. Moscow is Moscow."
"Well of course you can see the difference. The first difference is bigger Ice and the game is not that fast, not that many hits in the game but I can see the level of the game I can see the guys - the skill of the players how they have great technique. I think that the NHL is not working right now. So, the KHL is the best league."
