Use a simple Single Crochet Border to add polish or a pop of color to your pieces. Learn How To Border a Granny Square, as well as How To Crochet Down the Side Edges of a project that is crocheted in rows. Adding a border is a great way to clean up any messy edges, hide those yarn tails, or add something extra with a colorful design around your piece. The Single Crochet Border serves as the base to many more complex borders, like the Crab Stitch Border (linked below), so it's a great place to start. This tutorial goes wonderfully with my Solid Granny Square Tutorial (also linked below)- Make some Grannies and have fun with color adding the Single Crochet Border to all your Squares.
Edit! : On the third corner, YOU ONLY need to PUT 3 Stitches, NOT 5! I mis - spoke, I apologize. Make sure when you add your border that the number of stitches on the Top and the Bottom Edge always Match, and the number of stitches on your two Side Edges should Match. This will keep your rectangle or square even.
