Archon Angel performing the Savatage song, Edge of Thorns at 70K '20 Day 1 at The Royal Theater

Warming up the crowd very early on this year's 70000 Tons of Metal, Archon Angel performing Edge of Thorns by Savatage. It's just a 30 second clip.
Pretty much mostly straightforward heavy metal from like a mid to late-80s feel. With mostly an American approach and some added element of symphonic metal, a touch of power metal, and a tiny bit o' progressive metal. This was very early on in the cruise on day one, they were the third band overall and the second band I saw. They had the really cool honor of performing in the Royal Theater even though they are a new band from as far as I can see. I think they only formed last year.
Their sound was pretty good and they have a decent command of their instruments. Pretty good for a relatively new band. Their album has really good, professional production as well. They seem to have more of a symphonic feel live, they may have put more into the keyboards and programmed sound into the live experience to fill the room, in any case whatever the reason was it worked. Here they are doing a cover of Savatage as their closer and I think this was actually the fourth(!) Savatage cover they did that night! Now honestly I'm all for that when a band is new and doesn't have a lot of material, it also usually shows you where their head is at an where they are coming from but four songs from the same band is a lot unless they have a connection to the band and I'm not sure if they do or not. Still a good time and a really good band to warm up the crowd. Will be watching them to see how they develop.
I know almost nothing about this band so if you want to contribute feel free to chime in.
