(5 Oct 1995) Krajina Serb soldiers who are now stateless are fighting alongside
their Bosnian Serb counterparts to help fortify the frontlines in
the mountains of Grmec in Northwestern Bosnia. The
Krajina Serbs were badly beaten by Croat forces who retook the
Krajina in August. The Ex-President of the self-styled Krajina
Republic, Milan Martic, visited Serb troops in Grmec on Wednesday
(4/10) and vowed to help the Bosnian Serbs in regaining land. In
an interview with WTN Martic said: "We will not give up this
territory. There is no other homeland but this." His heavily-armed
troops are dug into trenches in their mountain hideout and are
determined to prevent any more land being taken by their Muslim
and Croat enemies.
