The South Beach Amusement Park, located on Sand Lane in South Beach, Staten Island, operated from 1941-2006. The amusement park held many fond memories for Staten Islanders. Most people remember Pepsi cap day. It was also where a scene from "He Knows You're Alone" was filmed, notable for the film debut of Tom Hanks. Sadly, rows of townhouses stand there now.
