This video contains the earliest film clips of the park that we have ever seen, dating back to 1928. Rides of yesteryear include the Wild Cat roller coaster (Philadelphia Toboggan Company), Hey-Dey, Caterpillar, Airplane Swing, Custer Cars, The Old Mill (later the Subway and then Kaleidoscope), Jack Rabbit, and the Virginia Reel (renamed Jack and Jill). Of these rides, only the Jack Rabbit remains today - a testament to this venerable Miller & Baker roller coaster. The Jack Rabbit is the oldest continuously operating coaster in America, and the oldest example of a coaster with underfriction wheels - which ushered in a whole new world of roller coaster thrills. Thanks to the DeMarle family for sharing this footage, and for the wonderful narration and background music that came with it. Truly a gem - enjoy watching!
