For those wondering why we're still so passionate about diesel locomotives, even with electrics taking over… this reel is your answer!

I've mentioned in previous posts and reels that it's only natural for evolution to take its course. I get it — older locos that aren’t fit for mainline or departmental duties are being scrapped, left to rust in their sheds, while the healthy ones are rapidly replaced by electric locomotives as electrification surges ahead🥺💔

But here's the thing — we can’t just forget or stop being crazy about our iconic, mighty diesels. Not at all! 😊

As a railfan, I believe these aren't just machines (whether diesel, electric, or trainsets). There's a soul in each of them. For us railfans, they mean the world. Just seeing them, hearing them, fills our souls with a peace that's hard to explain. 🥹

The reality is, the day isn’t far off when you won’t see any diesel locos hauling a passenger or express train. So, go out there and soak it all in. Capture those moments! Because years from now, when you look back, you’ll be glad you did, and you'll be reliving history.😊
