Soviet Mothers is a three-piece band out of Fort Collins, Colorado that was formed late in 2015. Their sound is distinctly Desert Rock, but with strong influences of Goth and New Wave that lend it a unique and often dark quality. Riff heavy guitar work gives way to powerful vocal parts that seek to convey the emotion and gravity of their songs without the need for lines of dense lyrical content. It's music that grooves and invites the listener to imagine themselves driving a fast car through the cool, lonely night of the vast western desert in which much of their music was conceived.
