Klaus wants Tyler to bite Caroline to get back at Stefan. Tyler refuses, and so Klaus lets him go knowing that he will, eventually when he sees Caroline, bite her.

Damon and Alaric go to the council meeting, on their way, they discuss Klaus and his temper, his vampire capabilities and how he can be so ruthless without having his humanity switch off.
