To create an invisible bind off edge in double knitting, you have to perform a Kitchener stitch. Basically, you have to purl one row in color B (the one for the back side) and then do a Kitchener stitch with color A on the front side.
This will create a very invisible edge. You do need a tapestry needle and some spare circular needles (or dpns), though.
