Omni Man’s Biggest Mistake in the comics is showing mercy.
But to who?
After Thragg comes after Omni-Man for being the descendant of Argall, and the true heir to the Viltrumite empire, the other Viltrumites including Anissa and General Kregg find out about this and take Omni-Man’s side, crowning him as the new Emperor over Thragg
Thragg spends some time in prison before he is brought out to witness his fate and normally the Viltrumite way is to execute traitors of the empire
but as the new leader Omni-Man plans to set the Viltrumites on a new path and as proof of his intentions, sentences former Grand Regent Thragg to exile
Thragg leaves and immediately starts planning his revenge, building his own Vilrumite army and returning later in the series to wipe out both the Coalition and the new Viltrumite empire under Omni-Man’s rule
And we wonder if Omni-Man had made a different decision on that day, how everything would have changed
