If you regularly drive 30 miles or less on a daily basis, but still want a car capable of making a road trip without stopping to charge for an hour, a plug-in hybrid Tucson is likely worth a test drive. This partially all-electric Tucson can travel an estimated 33 miles on electricity alone before its gas engine kicks in, after which it should manage 35 miles per gallon. As Cliff Atiyeh discovered, the Tucson does have some issues with cold-weather living, but it remains a fun-to-drive and efficient little SUV.
