Singer-composer Bappi Lahiri, who popularized disco music in Indian cinema in the 80s and 90s, passed away around 11:40 pm on Tuesday after several health problems. His age was only 69. According to a statement given by Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, the director of the hospital, "Lahiri was admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday.
