One of the foundational keys to passing the ASWB Exams is being able to determine & distinguish between the presenting and priority problems. Sometimes, they can be the same, but most of the time they may not be. The presenting problem is generally revealed in the client's statement about why they have come in for treatment. However, it is important to determine the true root causes of the presenting problem to be able to prioritize which issues need to be addressed as PRIORITY.
