SI Joint or Sacroiliac Joint pain may start because of slight trauma or in inflammatory causes. So mainly it is because of inflammatory causes. Like in ankylosing spondylitis or in similar conditions, there is inflammation of sacroiliac joint, which gives pain, pain during movement and also pain while sleeping. So usually with inflammatory arthritis they will have nor e pain while walking up in the morning because getting up form bed will be difficult in the morning, when they wake up and over there will be pain. So sudden being will cause pain. Usually this pain will not radiate to buttocks, but in some cases can radiate to the though and the knee joint. If there is inflammation like in ankylosing spondlytis we have to treat with antinflammatory and antirheumatic treatment.
