Recognizing exceptional leadership and vision, Kitco Mining selected Agnico Eagle Mines’ Ammar Al-Joundi and Snowline Gold’s Scott Berdahl as winners of Mining CEO Of The Year 2023.
The winners were announced at PDAC in Toronto by mining audiences manager Michael McCrae.
Al-Joundi was chosen in the producing category. Berdahl in the non-producing category.
Agnico Eagle Mines (NYSE:AEM) has not been afraid to do deals. It consummated its Pan American-Yamana deal in 2023 that saw it consolidate the standout Canadian Malartic mine in Quebec, vaulting it to become the third largest gold miner. Its jurisdiction gives it geopolitical advantages and lower carbon output production.
