A major dam in southern Ukraine has collapsed and villages flooded as both Russia and Ukraine scrambled to evacuate residents. The two sides blame each other for the destruction of the #Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam near the city of Kherson.
The dam sits on the Dnieper River and has been under Moscow's control since the early phases of the 15-month-long conflict. The mayor of Nova Kakhovka says about 900 people have been evacuated.
