Ayamase stew is a uniquely delicious stew made primarily from green peppers, bleached palm oil and any protein of your choice. It is tasty and bursting with flavors!
Ingredients:
Assorted meat of choice
Stock fish / smoked fish
Green bell peppers
Jalapeño /green chili peppers - optional
Locust beans/Eru 1tbsp
Onions - depends on how much stew you want
Spring onions
Crayfish 3 tsp
Eggs for garnishing
Palm oil - 1 1/2 cups
Salt/ bouillon to taste
Precook the meat, bleach the palm oil or simply heat it up, in a covered pot, to the point where it starts to smoke PLEASE DO THIS IN A WELL VENTILATED SPACE TO AVOID FIRES & FUMES FROM THE OIL. Allow to cool down completely before you start cooking with the bleached palm oil.
