The city of Seattle, Washington has lost nearly 20% of it's small 1-4 unit rental properties in the last 5 years as landlords quit due to rental regulations that make it too difficult and expensive to operate.

The result is a reduction in affordable housing and a consolidation of ownership under larger corporations.
