Victoria has recorded a surge in Covid-19 with 2,297 new locally-acquired cases. Premier Daniel Andrews couldn’t say whether Victoria had reached its peak in infection rates. ‘We want less cases not more’, Andrews said. ‘But the fact of the matter is we are so, so close to be 70% double dose vaccinated and then 80%.
