In this interview, Dr. Ute Limacher-Riebold shares her multilingual story and we talk about the challenges that parents often encounter when raising multilingual children. In addition, we discuss the real-life questions parents have about their own unique situation when Mandarin is the family target language.
Ute Limacher-Riebold Ph.D. is a multilingual Intercultural Language Consultant and Trainer at Ute's International Lounge. She specializes in bi- and multilingualism, and language acquisition and learning. She held seminars in linguistics at the Department of Italian Historical Linguistics at the University of Zurich (Switzerland). Ute is a researcher, teacher, speech-language specialist, and language enthusiast with more than 30 years of experience teaching languages to adults and teenagers. She is the author of The Toolbox for Multilingual Families.
