Malcolm X's interviews and lectures at UC Berkeley in the 1960s were significant in spreading his message of Black empowerment and liberation to a diverse audience. He engaged with students, including Herman Blake, in dialogue and debate, challenging them to think critically about issues related to race, politics, and social justice. His lectures inspired many young people to become involved in the struggle for Black liberation, and continue to be studied and analyzed by scholars and activists in African American Studies.
