This novel is on the Booker Prize shortlist. Reactions to it are quite divided. We both loved it and our discussion might help you work out if you want to read it.

Shawn and I don't think this is a novel where spoilers are an issue because the main plot points are all established in the first twenty pages and this is not a plot driven story. We are therefore fairly free in what we discuss but we avoid revealing any details from the latter stages of the book. We clarify this at 5.19 minutes if you want to be sure.
