I want to modify my Florida child custody, child support or alimony court order. How do I do that? Florida family law attorney David Faulkner explains the law in Florida.
If you want to modify a Florida child custody, child support or alimony order entered in your Florida family law case, you must file a supplemental petition to modify and demonstrate a substantial change in circumstances. The change must be substantial, not immaterial, it must be a change that was not contemplated when the original order was entered and the party seeking to modify must not have voluntarily created the changed circumstances. If children are involved, the requested modification must be in their best interests. Watch this video for more information on this importatnt topic.
