Finally, the utter rubbish of a run I had in this channel is gone forever! Behold them Mickey Mouse strats!

Huge shoutouts to Blounard for finding out a better shroomstrat for this track. He's on a tear.

The main reason I came back to this track is because it was the track of the month in 7κ. I had no plans on coming back here anytime soon, although the new shroomstrat that was shown a couple months ago, if my memory serves me right, lured me quite a bit.

I estimate this shroomstrat is around .150 faster than just doing 1-1-1. My current 1-1-1 PB of 1:56.264 didn't have the best driving in the world, although I didn't lose *that* much time anyway, probably around .1 overall. I knew getting the sub with this new strat was going to be pretty tight. I also started doing the extra MT after the second ramp. I've already done it in the past, mainly in the first lap only, whenever I was getting a poor beginning. However, I improved my consistency drastically compared to back then. Still not the most consistent thing in the world to pull off. It doesn't save a huge chunk of time, but it's definitely worth going for it.

I also tested heavy Mii, doing live attempts on Twitch. But really, the extra MT stat doesn't help. In fact, the track gets even harder to play. There's not really many places where Mii's slightly MT boost helps over Funky's. Not only that, but also the extra MT before entering the cave is much harder to perform, since the SMT you release before taking the ramp lasts more, making you launch further up from the ramp, most of the time. Also, the SMT into the laps 2 and 3 that I do... most of your SMT boost gets eaten by air. That's how I concluded that Funky Kong is the best for this track.

As for this run, laps 1 and 3 are pretty close to BKS, so they're very clean. As for lap 2... oh god. Yeah I really despise this lap the most, easily. It looks like I also hit a small portion of offroad at the beginning. Then for some odd reason I lost time on the moving platforms, I think it's because I got an unlucky high trick, or maybe it is just my ghost, that gets a much better ramp, I can't remember. The second half of the track was clean though, I got a strange interaction with the road after the first shroom usage that looks like it made me gain some time.

Very happy that I am the first person to sub 1:56. I'm pretty sure first time 1:57 was subbed it was on 2016 by Bob, so this is a pretty cool achievement I must say. :]
