In our passage today we read of the prescription or formula which God gave to Moses for a perfume or incense which was to be presented in the Tabernacle upon the Altar of Incense. Moses was told "Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon. . ." (Exodus 30:9) The ingredients were given carefully. They were stacte, onycha, galbanum and frankincense.
