In Star Wars The Revenge of the Sith - Darth Sidious exterminates the 3 Jedi Masters with ease until Anakin arrives to finish off Mace Windu. What is different however, is in the novelization HOW he killed them is much more gruesome and sinister. This allows us to really view Palpatine in the light he was meant to be perceived, as the ruthless and disturbing Sith Lord.
