In this episode of the History Of series, our superhero expert, Aaron Waller, explains the comic book origin of Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson), a man who had a very unique childhood of his archeologist father being killed in a pyramid adventure and being taken in by an ancient lord so he is taken in by the being and trained to become Doctor Fate.

Doctor Fate is one of the most powerful beings in DC Comics but he is often in the background and as the DCEU continues to expand and bring in characters we haven't seen on the big screen, Doctor Fate is following suit as he will be played by Pierce Brosnan in the upcoming Black Adam movie opposite Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
