Jemima Khan, used to supporting her husband Imran's campaign for Prime Minister of Pakistan, has been out on the hustings again, this time in London.
Jemima arrived with her new born son to help her father, billionaire financier Sir James Goldsmith, in his bid to win a seat in Britain's parliament on May 1st.
Goldsmith is against European union and has formed his own Referendum Party.
As the British election campaign gathers pace, politicians from all parties are not averse to using almost any tactic possible to gain votes.
So if, like Referendum Party leader Sir James Goldsmith, you have a celebrity for a daughter, why not use her?
For Jemima Goldsmith is better known as Mrs Imran Khan.
She joined her father on the campaign trail in south London's affluent Putney to try and oust the local Conservative MP David Mellor, a former minister and friend of Prime Minister John Major, who had to resign because of an extra-marital affair.
But European union, not sleaze, was the issue today. As for Sir James' daughter, she proved she quite capable of taking care of herself.
SOUNDBITE:
We're fighting against practised politicians, career politicians who seem to have very little conviction.
Q: You share all of your father's political ambitions here?
A: Political views, yes.
SUPER CAPTION: Jemima Khan.
Jemima is no novice when it comes to election campaigning having spent weeks on the hustings for her husband Imran in Pakistan last January.
Imran didn't win, but his wife gave a creditable performance, even addressing crowds in Urdu.
In London however she was quite happy to give her forthright views in English.
As her father met local people one man seemed quite overwhelmed when introduced to Jemima.
As well he might for she's certainly the starriest thing Putney has seen since the Hale Bopp comet.
