Crowphabet and As the Crow Flies Posters: [ Ссылка ] Vera often makes this clucking, clacking call. I have tried to understand what it means. Sometimes it seems an affectionate sound when she's with her mate, Hank. Here she seems to make it anxiously, or perhaps as a warning to Hank when she hears people coming down the alley near where they are.
I'm not sure if anyone knows for certain what this rather lovely "rattle" call that crows sometimes make is all about. In my experience, it's associated with intimate moments between family members and, occasionally, if you're lucky, between human and crow.
