Batata Poha
Batata Poha or Potato Poha is a quick and easy breakfast recipe.
Ingredients
Poha - 200 gms
Potato - 1 no.
Onion - 1 no. chopped
Green chili - 2 nos chopped
Roasted Peanuts
Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
Asafoetida powder - 1/4 Tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
Few Curry leaves
Oil - 1 Tsp
Ghee - 1 Tsp
Lemon juice
Coriander leaves
Water
Salt to taste

Method
1. Wash the poha for 2-3 times and discard the water and keep it aside
2. Heat a pan and add some oil. Fry the potato pieces in it till they are golden brown in color.
3. For the tempering, heat some oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida powder, curry leaves, chopped onions, green chilies and roasted peanuts
4. Saute the onions till they are golden brown in color and add salt
5. Add the fried potato pieces and add turmeric powder
6. Give it a good mix and add the poha
7. Saute the poha for about 5 minutes and turn off the stove
8. Add a tsp of ghee and lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves
9. Serve the poha hot
