Guan Yu starts at YTR. As Shu characters, we're started right in front of the path leading to Zhang Bao so clearly we're intended to go there first. Doing so and defeating him will cause Zhang Jiao to teleport in a unique cutscene to attack the Shu forces. Otherwise, same as usual.

Can I just say I friggin' love Zhang Jiao's voice in this? His VA just goes nuts in the cutscenes and it's hilarious.
