Here's a sample script you can follow when running your Net.
"CQ, CQ, CQ this is KY4BDP for the Lake Cumberland Amateur Radio Association Weather Net.
We hold this Net each Sunday at 8:30pm Eastern time using the 146.880 repeater with a tone of 77Hz which is located in Ingle, KY
The objective of this Net is to share weather related information or issues and to share other amateur radio information that you wish to share.
This is a directed Net and your Net Control is KY4BDP. My Name is Brian and I'm in Somerset, KY.
Any stations that are experiencing an emergency or need to pass along Priority traffic may call now. Or, during this Net, if you need to pass along emergency or priority traffic you can do so by calling Emergency, Emergency or a double-break and we will try to assist you as best as we can.
Tonight we have the following announcements:
To start tonight's check-ins, do we have any Short Timers that wish to check-in to the Net. These are folks that wish to be counted on the roster, but do not have any commnets. Call KY4BDP Now! (Summarize the list and thank them for checking in) (Ask one more time for Short Timers and summarize again if necessary)
Next, do we have any Emergency/Battery powered stations that wish to check-in to the NET, please call KY4BDP NOW! (Summarize the list thus far and then call on each check-in for comments. When all have had a chance to speak, ask one more time for check-ins in the group)
Next, do we have any Mobile stations that are between locations and would like to check-in to the Lake Cumberland Amateur Radio Association Weather Net, please call KY4BDP NOW!
