In this channel, you will find videos of Teaching Proficiency Through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS). This is a fun, amazing, and powerful way to learn languages. The results we get when teaching with this method are beyond incredible. In the five videos in my channel, I am teaching first year Spanish students. They are in grade 9 and have never been exposed to Spanish before. We work on the semester system, and this is week 10 of 18 into the semester.
Each video is part of the whole TPRS cycle (teaching one story). I use the stories in the textbook that I wrote for first year Spanish: Teaching Spanish with Comprehensible Input Through Storytelling, and Learning Spanish with Comprehensible Input Through Storytelling. I also have Grade 10 textbooks, and I am developing new stories for Grades 11 and 12.
