***The Blue Belt is the smaller guy (me), and the Brown Belt is the other guy***
This was a fun match against one of my teammates and instructors. We train at separate academies that are connected but in different locations, so we’ve rolled before. I went for an imanari but missed it and wound up playing open guard until he passed and then was submitted with an arm-in triangle. It’s clear to see his superior technical abilities in the way he controlled every position and slowly attacked his submission while leaving me no opportunity to attack. Was fun to do the absolute against someone so much more skilled than I am! All a part of the process and journey of Brazilian Jiujitsu 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I’m 135-140lbs. Training out of Spearfish/Rapid city South Dakota. We are 2 ATOS academies in the Midwest with a great group of guys who all love Jiujitsu. We all learn and grind together and have an amazing sense of camaraderie that’s all jits people share. Stop by if you’re ever in the Midwest!!
