Dr. Marx: You know some of the three most common injuries up there in football are shoulder dislocations, shoulder separation. So that can be a little bit confusing between the two but a shoulder dislocation is when your arm comes out of its socket. The shoulder separation is when your collarbone here separates from your scapula a little bit spraining those ligaments that attach the two bones together. And then also clavicle fractures or fractures of your collarbone.
