🤯 Up to 40% of our world's FOOD goes to waste...
The FAO reports that through field processing, transport, retail, restaurants, food service companies, and throwing the food off our plates away, nearly half of our food goes straight to landfills.
Not to mention, nearly 60% of every cow butchered goes to waste. The offal, bones, tendons, and blood are all wasted in pursuit of just providing muscle meat to the consumer 🐄
Our ancestors, however, understood the importance of nose-to-tail nutrition - utilizing every part of the hunt. And almost by evolutionary accident consuming organs, muscle meat, bones, and blood come to make us into the humans we are today.
We believe in honoring our food by consuming every part of it. Nose-to-tail, Hornes-to-hooves, bones to blood.
Not only are organs the most nourishing parts of the animal, but by consuming them you also help to reduce food waste across the world.
Find ways in your local environment you can support less food waste. Save your leftovers, eat the organs, make soups, and be mindful of where you purchase your fresh foods from.
