On April 26, 2022, Scotch Plains New Jersey A 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer and driving under the influence. Jennie Rose of New Jersey was arrested on April 26 after she was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, driving under the influence and refusal to submit a breath test, according to Scotch Plains Police. Police also said Jennie Rose had an active warrant out of Branchburg and a fugitive warrant out of the Bucks County Sheriff's Department in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Two Scotch Plains patrolmen pulled over the 2003 GMC that Jennie Rose was driving, and police said she refused commands given by the officers. While attempting to remove her from the car, she closed the window on one of the officer's arms. It became stuck, and she began kicking his arm. Officers ultimately broke the driver's side window and she was placed under arrest. She was then sent to Union County Jail. Jennie Rose was not injured during the incident, but both officers were sent to Overlook Hospital for minor injuries, according to the Scotch Plains Police Department.
