So, what makes the 2025 Everest Tremor such a big deal? Ford’s given the Everest a serious off-road upgrade with this new Tremor variant. But unfortunately for us, it’s not coming to the U.S., and that stings.

The Tremor takes everything we love about the Everest and cranks it up a notch. It sits an inch higher than the standard Everest, giving it that extra bit of clearance for rough terrains. The SUV rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in meaty General Grabber AT3 tires, and Ford’s also widened the track by 1.1 inches to boost stability.

But it’s not just about size—the suspension system has been completely overhauled. We're talking new springs and Bilstein position-sensitive dampers with external reservoirs, designed to soak up the bumps and keep you in control, no matter the trail. Plus, there’s a new Rock Crawl drive mode that turns gnarly trails into a walk in the park. And if that’s not enough, Ford offers a Rough Terrain pack, which includes an even tougher front bumper for those who want to push the limits.

The 2025 Everest Tremor sports a blacked-out, aggressive grille with integrated LED lights, a beefed-up front bumper, and a robust skid plate with built-in tow hooks. Heavy-duty side steps complete the rugged exterior look.

The cabin features leather-accented seats with the Tremor logo embossed right into them, reminding you of the off-road prowess this vehicle offers. All-weather floor mats are a nice touch for those muddy adventures. The seven-seat configuration is ideal for hauling your crew or gear, and it comes packed with features like dual-zone climate control, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and adaptive cruise control to make those long drives a bit more comfortable.

The Tremor packs the same 3.0-liter V-6 turbo-diesel engine found in the standard Everest. This powertrain churns out 247 horsepower and a massive 443 pound-feet of torque, all managed by a 10-speed automatic transmission. The four-wheel-drive system ensures that power gets to the ground effectively, whether you're towing up to 7716 pounds or tackling challenging trails.

While the powertrain hasn’t changed, it’s clear that the Tremor is more about enhancing the Everest’s off-road capability and durability. And honestly, that’s exactly what off-road enthusiasts crave—no need for a power boost when the handling and control are this good.

The Everest Tremor is set to start at around $51,400 when production kicks off this fall in Australia. Given everything it offers, that’s a solid deal for such a capable SUV. But here’s the kicker—the Everest isn’t expected to make its way to the U.S., leaving us off-road enthusiasts dreaming about what could’ve been. This SUV would’ve been a fantastic competitor to the likes of Toyota’s 4Runner, especially with all the updates the 4Runner has received recently. But, for now, we can only admire from afar.
