This is now the world's largest electronic blast.
It took place at BHP's Kaval Ridge mine in the Bowen Basin.
The blast saw 4.7 million cubic metres of overburden shifted in a blast fired with 2,194 tonnes of bulk explosives across 3,899 holes.
It was completed using Dino Noble DigiShot technology,
a long name for basically a system that allows for wireless detonation and overall a safer explosion.
