Hello :)

This is the requested transcription I've done of the Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels version of the song "Devil With a Blue Dress On" from their 1966 album "Breakout" . The bass player on this track was Earl E Elliot.

I'm going to miss practicing this one. It's been like a little morning cardio workout for me over that past few days :)

I love the energy in this recording. It's raw and pretty jammy, but I think it's pretty special what they captured in this recording. I would assume for the most part it's all live with very few if not any overdubs.

This one is deceivingly difficult to play. It has a straight feel to it and I found it was easy to drag if I didn't concentrate and stay on top of the tempo.

There's a slur that happens into the G on beat 3. This was tough to notate and hear sometimes. They're not quite 16ths, but writing it as 32's looked strange and over complicated. When practicing it, I tried to make sure the slur wasn't the important thing and that hitting the G on time was. It was also hard to tell if he did the slur every time or just is some spots. I notated it that he didn't do it every time and that it was used for detail and effect.
