UPDATE: As of April 8, 2022, employers are no longer required to have a COVID-19 Safety Plan and must follow communicable disease guidance instead.
When workplaces in B.C. are healthy and safe, they contribute to a safe and healthy province.
As COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and businesses resume operations in B.C., let’s all do our part to reduce the risk of workplace transmission of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.
Businesses in B.C. need to follow WorkSafeBC’s industry protocols and requirements, and develop safety plans that outline the policies, guidelines, and procedures that are in place to keep workers healthy and safe.
Employers are responsible for the health and safety of their workers, and have an obligation to comply with WorkSafeBC regulations and the Workers Compensation Act of British Columbia.
