About the composer:

Denis Sanacore multi-instrumentalist, grandson of a Sicilian emigrant, was born in Montreal on December 22, 1967. As a child, he developed an interest for the violin and became fascinated by this instrument after watching a French television program featuring Stephane Grappelli.
Denis Sanacore has recorded the soundtrack of TS Spivet himself at home in his living room unhooking the phone and muzzling his dogs.
He also performed the guitar and fiddle in all the tracks of the album.

About the movie:

A ten-year-old cartographer secretly leaves his family's ranch in Montana where he lives with his cowboy father and scientist mother and travels across the country aboard a freight train to receive an award at the Smithsonian Institute.
