CRACKED LEAD FLASHING
In this video I’m going to discuss lead flashing.
So behind me, you see a photo of the lead flashing. Quite evident is two crack in that lead flashing, they were spotted whilst trying to track a water leak on the roof.
Very evident leak here, and not a difficult fix. For us, it was simply a case of removing that lead flashing and replacing it with a new one.
Can you fix it with a silicon? If you are looking to fix things quickly, yes it’s possible to do so, but in the long run ultimately we want to replace something like that as it’s potentially reached it’s used by day and further cracks can occur.
