In her talk, Hala talks about the challenges she's faced because of her passport and nationality. She talks about how documents tend to define who we are and what we're worth. Hala is an eighteen-year-old Syrian high school student. She studied in Lebanon when schools in Syria stopped and she came back to lead study support sessions in her city. She formerly held a TEDx talk titled “3-dimensions” about enhancing education in Syria. She is currently studying at UWC Adriatic where she managed to pursue many of her interests. She held several focuses about the Syrian conflict and she was nominated as a speaker in the Youth Inspiring Change conference. Currently she is writing a book about females experience in Syrian war. She is speaking on the TEDx stage again to address the lack of our appreciation to humanity in the modern day taking Syrian war as a case study. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
