A technical comparison of how different string libraries handle slurred legato transitions. This comparison features one small and one large interval, each at three different dynamics and for all four sections (/not for second violins because Pacific doesn't have them).
I did some rough volume matching by ear - it's not perfect though, as the libraries respond differently to the same midi input. Hollywood Strings uses a niente patch and is therefore quieter at low CC values despite being as loud as the others at high values.
There no external reverb used in this comparison. All sounds are presented as they are out of the box, I only made one change to Afflatus and turned off the internal reverb.
